On Saturday, dozens of locals gathered around the gazebo at Kennedy Park to enjoy Christmas music, hot chocolate, treats, photos with Santa and a horse-drawn carriage ride.
Commissioner William O’Gurek introduced each performer, and commended the volunteers and organizers for their efforts in providing families and locals with wholesome events.
Lansford Alive Events Committee organized the evening with the help of community volunteers, and fundraiser groups such as the Landsford Fire Department.
Chris Ondrus, president of Lansford Alive, arrived dressed as Santa Claus, riding on top of a firetruck in the midst of sirens and lights, and delighted children and their families with pictures with Santa.
The Panther Valley Band, Panther Valley Children’s Choir, Kathy Crampsie and friends, and Angela Nardini, entertained and delighted the crowd with many Christmas favorite songs.
The park was beautifully decorated with a paths of candle-lit bags, and the trees were all dressed up with lights, marking the start of the holiday season.
