Lansford Alive Teams Up With Borough For Annual Cleanup

On April 21, the Borough of Lansford conducted its annual cleanup of the town utilizing many volunteers. Lansford Alive's focus was on picking up litter and debris and focused on the west end of town. Volunteers cleaned up sections of Route 209 from Coaldale to Lansford, Klock's Hill, Dock Street, Abbott St. behind Rite Aid, and Kennedy Park. Volunteers were able to fill an entire truckload of garbage and debris. Among those helping were Mark Sverchek, Renee Slakoper, Lenny Kovach, Joe Greco, numerous juveniles, and borough residents.
